Footage from the mega 12-to-15 foot day at Cloudbreak when the contest was called off after Raoni Monteiro copped a lip on the head straightening out of the barrel and injured himself. With the world’s most talented big wave hellmen suspecting the contest might be put on hold, the likes of Reef McIntosh, Ramon Navarro, Mark Healey, Danny Fuller, Alex Gray and Kalani Chapman had all showed up for the macking swell hoping to get a look in. Eight members of the world tour also managed to get their hands on bigger rafts and had a shot at the epic Fijian thunder which Kelly likened to last year’s Code Red day at Chopes.
