EVAN GEISELMAN - FRAME OF MIND
The latest instalment of Dragon’s ‘Frame of Mind – The B-sides to Life’ series features young Floridian bright star Evan Geiselman (younger brother to Eric) and his first trip to macking Teahupoo, amping to shake off his technical, small-wave rep. That he does.
Unfortunately since Tahiti the talented aerial goofyfooter suffered a serious ankle injury (broken fibula) while attempting a backside air reverse on a surf trip to Costa Rica. But in this day and age ankle/knee injuries and rehab are run of the mill for the world’s top aerialists (see Kolohe Andino, Dane Reynolds, Dusty Payne et al.) and 18-year-old Evan just made a spectacular come back in his Round 1 heat at the U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington (taking out world numero uno Mick Fanning).
