Eastern Winds
The surf had been very much flat for a good three weeks in the Bay of Biscay until this little groundswell showed up on Thursday morning accompanied by stiff offshore winds that blew all day long. With the sun out, the south west of France’s prime beachie La Graviere was back on fire. Safe to say that all the locals were on it. For some video coverage of the day, take a look at Aritz Aranburu’s short edit. Incidentally, besides the cranking surf, it was a pretty special day for Surf Europe’s editor-in-chief Paul Evans who witnessed the arrival of his first baby boy, Zac Evans.
