( CHROMATIC ) A NEW FILM BY ANALOG

Much of surfing’s progression in terms of innovation and performance is clearly two-fold today. It either consists of paddling into larger and larger waves or performing increasingly higher and more technical airs. Analog have dialled into both of these currents via their deliberate choice of team riders. Take for example Ireland’s Fergal Smith who loves nothing more than an isolated cold-water big wave death slab. Or Australia’s Chippa Wilson who of has taken skateboarding’s influence on wave riding to impressive new highs with his big spins and other much-documented aerial gymnastics. And then, of course, there’s Nathan Fletch, who’s been pushing the limits of anything and everything for, like, ever. Should make an ok movie. (Chromatic), a new surf film by Analog, due out in September.

Txomin Higson is not actually Basque, even though he has taken to wearing hiking boots and tracky bums as part of his everyday get-up.
