As the sun rises out of the east up from behind the surrounding Urdaibai estuary hills, its rays then fall more or less straight onto the fast tapering walls of Mundaka. That sheen is pretty much unmistakeble. The offshore south wind that filters down through the estuary valley and grooms those walls is frequently accompanied by rain, rain that makes the motorway run down there always a tad treacherous. But boy is it worth it. If for some reason you’ve forgotten or not sure what we’re talking about then this vid should clear things up.
