BUNDORAN SURF CO RULES
Just a heads up on a place to stay, get surf lessons and buy gear in Bundoran, Ireland’s surf capital. It’s called Bundoran Surf Co. We ran our regular European Vacation piece in SE78 on Bundoran yet somehow omitted to mention them as THE place to stay. We have been informed on good authority that we kooked it. Well, it wouldn’t be the first time, at least we are consistent.

Unfortunatley don’t agree. The owner guy, Peter I think his name is, is cocky and full of himself. He’s not a bundoran local and he’s not that great a surfer either. Stayed there once and not again. Unfriendly and very arrogant.
I have stayed at the surf lodge many times, and have taken lessons there too. Everyone has always been super friendly and helpful. Pretty surprised at the above posting, but I guess that comes hand in hand with running a successful business in a small town.
Its a shame the surfing businesses on the main street of bundoran, ie. bundoran surf co run by Pete & surfworld run by Richard Fitzgerald are too busy bitching about each other that their actual business’ are suffering, do yourself a favour & stay in Turf n Surf, overlooks the Peak, run by Killian, a true local whos not caught up in all the bullshit.
