Volcom team rider Joan Duru hooked up with French longboarder Antoine Delpero for a classic trip down to Morocco this winter to basque in the warmer climate but also surf the well-known right-hand point break of Safi.

A couple of issues ago we ran a quiver piece in the mag with 25-year-old Biarritz local Antoine Delpero, a ride everything and anything type of guy, who, with a friend, is in the process of setting up his own Stand-up Paddle surfboard brand, Bonz Supboards.

The model we featured (left) was the SUP 9’1” x 29” x 4”, set up with a 2+1 fin format, two small laterals and a big centre one, which allows good hold and control through turns without losing speed, and also good stability for noseriding and paddling.

Now for some action though. Below, Antoine takes his 9’6 x 27 1/4 x 3 3/4 model for a test run at the big wave spot of Guethary.
