Can Jack Freestone do it again?

04:30PM Fri, 27th January 2012

Now down to the quater final stage at Burleigh Heads for the World Juniors, defending title holder Jack Freestone looks like he may well be on his way to another win, with American favourite Conner Coffin bowing out in Round 4. With experience on his side, the hot 19-year-old Gold Coaster will face Reunion Isle Medi Veminardi, the final European still in the draw, in the first heat of the quarters.

With the bad weather persisting on the Gold Coast, conditions from Day 7 saw more junky conditions and not much of a show for viewers. This fresh short of Jack Freestone should do the trick though.

Boys Quarter Final Match-Ups:

Txomin Higson is not actually Basque, even though he has taken to wearing hiking boots and tracky bums as part of his everyday get-up.
