ALANA vs ALANIS

Jah knows how I used to really hate Alanis Morissette… The 90′s were gnarly man. What annoyed me most wasn’t her name, her hair, her face, it was the way she said antibiotics. As in “How ’bout getting off those an-tie biotics…?” Arghghghgh! It still smarts!

Anyway, the world has moved on a lot since then. Alanis has pretty much gone away, and now Alana is at the fore. You can’t fight progress.

15 seconds is all it took her to ruin my day/week/90′s

Without meaning to labour the point, Morissette wasn’t done there. As if she wasn’t satisfied with her wretched pronounciation of an-tie, bitch then dropped ‘Ironic’. Ironic! None of the scenarios involve irony. ” It’s like raaa-aain, on your wedding day, it’s like good advi-iiice, that you just can’t take…” none of that is ironic. None.

Like I said, 90′s were gnar gnar, but they only made us stronger. Anyway… thanks Alana, see you at the Swatch Girls Pro France 2013, probably the word’s best women’s QS event (outside Hawaii)… what?
